XP Maximized: Add Background Images To Spice Up Your Folders

Open the folder you'd like to customize and click Tool > Folder Options. Tick 'Show Hidden File And Folders' in the view tab, and untick 'Hide Protected Operating System Files'. Click OK.

Double click the file named desktop.ini and add [ExShellFolderViews] {BEO98104-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}={BEO98104-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}
[{BEO98104-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}]
IconArea_Image=C:\image of your choice.jpg
Click View > Refresh to see your image
