XP Maximized: Add Custom Locations To the Places Bar

The Places bar contains shortcuts to key locations to make it quicker to navigate to your hard drive. You can change these by clicking Start > Run and typing "regedit."

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies, and create a key called 'condig32,' and another called 'Placesbar.' With the Placesbar key, create a new string value called 'Place0' and set value to the folder you would like to add. Repeat this process, creating a new string value called 'Place1', 'Place2' and so on.
