If you have a digital camera and are shooting photos, you probably know that not every photo you take is a work of art.
But in many cases, using the right tools can turn even ho-hum photos into digital masterpieces.
The good news is that one of the best tools for creating masterpieces from your digital photos is easy to use, easy to install, and free.
VirtualPhotographer
The VirtualPhotographer is a free tool that allows you to quickly apply any of over 100 photo effects to a digital photo. The effects include such things as 'glamour', 'natural portrait', 'dreamy', 'slide', and over 50 black and white effects.
Using the VirtualPhotographer control panel, you can simulate what the photo would look like if shot with different types of film, at different film speeds, and under different lighting conditions.
If this sounds complicated, don't worry, it isn't. You don't have to know anything about photography or film speed. Just select the different effects until you get the look that you like.
Then click 'process' to apply the effect to the photo, and save.
