Step-By-Step
1.) Install The Scanner
Install the Windows Live Safety Center by going to http://safety.live.com and clicking the "Full Service Scan" button, followed by Install Now. You may need to configure your pop-up blocker to enable the ActiveX component to be installed.
2.) Choosing a Scan
Click the link to launch the scanner, then click Next. You can now choose between a Full or Quick scan - choose and click Next. Alternatively, you can click Customize to select which of the available scans you would like to run.
3.) Scanning In Action
Click Next and your selected scans will be performed after the necessary tools have been downloaded. The results screen will then detail any action that should be taken. Tick the boxes for the problems you'd like to fix and click Next.
